Danielle Halle is in her last year of her undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa, majoring in Geography with a minor in Geomatics and Spatial Analysis. Her research involves studying the glaciers on Manson Icefield, SE Ellesmere Island, and tracking variations in velocity from 1999 to present. Several glaciers on Manson Icefield have previously been identified as surge type, so she is looking to confirm that by using satellite imagery and feature tracking.
Danielle’s interest in glaciology began with a field course in Iceland and continued during half a year in Svalbard studying arctic geology at the University Centre in Svalbard. When she’s not at university, Danielle enjoys travelling, splitboarding and climbing.
