Jaime Dubé

JaimeJaime recently received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she found her passion in hydrology, with a specific focus on mountain hydrology and watershed management. Growing up in the Canadian Rockies, she’s always loved anything to do with the mountains or cold, so glaciology was a natural next step. Presently, Jaime is working towards an MSc in Geography, under the supervision of Dr. Luke Copland. Her research concentrates on the analysis of meltwater distribution and the intricate network of supraglacial hydrological systems on surging glaciers in the St Elias Mountains, Yukon. This research employs a combination of remote sensing and field-collected data to gain a comprehensive understanding of the underlying surge mechanisms and their implications for the management of glacial watersheds. Outside of her studies, Jaime enjoys skiing, trail running, rock climbing and hanging out with her dog Aspen.
